you.

Name: Lily

Age: 18

Time Zone: PST

AIM/E-MAIL: BoxesofPearls/tohma_seguchi_x@yahoo.com

OOC/CDJ: [info]</a>lily_cdj</span></span>

Experience: In my CDJ

Holds: On Miss Weasley

your character.

Full Name: Ginevra Molly Weasley

Nicknames: Ginny. Gin. Weasley. Anything else will get you hexed.

Age/DoB: 15/August 11, 1981

House: Gryffindor

Year: 5th

Wand: 9" yew. Unicorn hair core. Very flexible.

Bloodline: Pureblood

Mother: Molly Weasley (nee Prewett). Ginny and her mother have an excellent relationship. Being the only two women in the house they often bond over girl things quite a bit, though Ginny rarely confides in her mother about boys. That stays between Ginny and her closest friends. Molly is stern with her on occasion, but never as much as Fred and George. Or any of the boys for that matter.

Father: Arthur Weasley. Ginny adores her father and can't really imagine life without him. Arthur is less strict with Ginny than Molly is, so she's quite the daddy's girl, though she'd hex anyone for pointing that out.

Siblings: Ready? Here we go.

Bill - loves him dearly, but doesn't get to see him much.
Charlie - ditto
Percy - she thinks he's a git, plain and simple. Yes, she loves him, but she'd sooner yell at him than hug him lately.
Fred and George - These two amuse her greatly. She refuses to be involved in their product testing, so she doesn't usually accept gifts from them.
Ron - he is secretly her favorite brother. She is closest to Ron in age and understands his frustration of being so young in a family of a million siblings. They've bonded over the years. And Ron's best friend is Harry. Even better.

Academics: Ginny's strongest subject is Charms, certainly. She is also quite good with Transfiguration. Potions and History of Magic are her least favorite an worst subjects, though she has received passing marks for them in the past. Her two elective courses are Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies.

Appearance: Ginny is your typical Weasley. She’s average in height, freckled and ginger. She has brown eyes and slight dimples when she smiles, which she’s rather embarrassed about.  She has an athletic build due to playing Quidditch (which she is quite excellent at, thank you very much). She considers her best feature her hair and makes sure that she always keeps it looking relatively nice. Unless there’s a game.

She has to wear thrift store clothing. She doesn’t mind it as much as Ron seems to, in fact, she actually likes her clothes. Though she never had to wear robes that all her older brothers did. The perks of being a girl. She suspects that a few of her dress robes were her mother’s, so they are buried at the bottom of her trunk and she claims that they were stolen back in her fourth year.

PB Choice: 1. Karoline Herfurth

2. Emma Taylor-Isherwood

(I’m leaning towards #2, since she looks more like a real person)

History: Ginny is the first female Weasley to be born for several generations. With that in mind, being a girl in the Weasley family is not necessarily easy. She has six brothers, most of whom she had to fight with over the bathrooms in the morning. Also, being the youngest, Ginny was often overpowered. Fred and George even went so far as to pick her up and move her so they could have the washroom first. Ginny was not amused.

As a child, she was relatively happy. Being a girl also had its perks, of course. She never really had to de-gnome the yard, since none of the boys thought she had a good throwing arm. However, when they were all at Hogwarts and her mother was in the kitchen, she would practice and eventually got really good at it. She’d never tell them, since she still hasn’t been forced to do that chore. Growing up, Ron was always her favorite brother. He would stick up for her when the twins picked on her or when Percy started getting bossy. She had a very happy home life, that was for sure. One thing that should be duly noted as she was growing up is her obsession with a certain Harry Potter. She never thought that she would ever meet him, so she would admire him from afar.

She accompanied her family to King’s Cross for Ron’s first year at Hogwarts. That was where she met her “Knight in Shining Armor”, so to speak. It was the first time she’d ever seen Harry Potter in person and she was absolutely speechless. Instead of saying ‘hi’ and starting up a conversation, as she’d imagined doing so many times in her bedroom, she could only smile dumbly. She would beat herself up for weeks over that once she got home.

Her first year at Hogwarts was very eventful, not what she had expected at all. She managed to acquire the diary of Tom Riddle when Lucius Malfoy slipped it into her cauldron. She didn’t know where it came from and, naturally, being a young and innocent girl, she started to write in it. She was extremely excited when it started to write back. Eventually, though, she threw the diary away, thinking that it was the cause of the bad things going on at Hogwarts. She was eventually captured and taken to the chamber, but rescued by her knight in shining armor.

Ginny spent her next few years really discovering herself as a person. She started dating boys and not focusing so much on Harry, though she knew she would always want him. In her third year, Ginny was invited to the Yule Ball by Neville Longbottom. The two became best friends almost immediately after that. In her fourth year, she joined Harry and the others to 'save' Sirius in the Department of Mysteries.

mod requirements

Two examples of first person:

Example 1: Bloody hell. I’m fine. So I fell off my broom during practice, don’t worry about it. Oh, er… don’t mind how sloppy my writing is. I broke my wrist so I have to write with the other hand. But it’s fine. Madam Pomfrey fixed it up nicely. I should be fine by the next game. We’ll beat those bloody Slytherins. I could do it with one hand tied behind my back. Which I might have to do, but we’ll manage.

Oh, shoot. I still need to write that Potions essay. Maybe Snape will excuse me from that…

I should start writing.

Example 2: Private

He kept staring at me today. It was kind of cute, but I know Ron was kind of mad. I don’t know why, he’s just looking at me. And it was during a game too. He could have just been looking for the Snitch around my head! I love him, but I hate it when he’s the protective older brother. It’s so annoying. It’s probably why Michael and I didn’t work out.

No… Michael was immature. Harry’s much better.

Two examples of third person: Example 1: Ginny closed her journal with a sigh and set it aside. She wanted to go talk to Harry or something, but she knew Ron was watching like a hawk. Not to mention he was always at Harry’s side. Since breaking up with Dean, Ginny had her sights on Harry, but she was trying not to let that show as she did back when she was eleven.  That was embarrassing. She tended to hex anyone who brought up her poem from her first year, which usually happened to be Fred and George.

Example 2: Skipped because you love me?

Character Interaction: Ginny is quite the social butterfly in recent years. She likes talking to people as long as they’re pleasant. She has a mean Bat-Bogey hex, though, with plenty of opportunities to test them on Slytherins or other mean spirited students.

Are you willing to elaborate on your application?: Of course I am. Just say the word.

What plans do you have for your character?: Ginny would certainly not wish to be a writer. Instead, she would find it rather annoying and petty, considering the whole Rita Skeeter fiasco back in her third year. I’d like to develop relationships for her, of course, with Neville, Luna, Harry, etc. I think it would be interesting to see how she interacts with other people too. Like her ex boyfriend and whatnot.
